Jake Palmer is a hip local artist with many trades, who specializes in Graphic Design and Ceramic Arts.  At BYC, we’re proud to have Jake as part of the team as our new graphic designer.  His ability to create eye-catching designs encourages the public to stop and admire his work.  Jake has created the awesome banner on the BYC website and Facebook page as well as in our email announcements.  Jake also creates designs for EMP’s music and yoga festival:  Liberate.  This event is hosted by Eclectic Music Productions (the same producers as BYC), and is located right here in Vermont annually in August. As the head of his own business, Design by Jake, Jake has a great understanding of how to make designs that are superbly well tailored for any business with just the right combination of touches.  More specifically, Jake uses his skills to create advertisements, logos, packages, print work, and product designs for businesses and organizations. Jake’s proven specialty in graphic design, illustration, and pottery skills make his work special and highly credible.  Jake’s success can be credited in part to the responses his designs create amongst viewers. His designs get gears turning, provoke intense conversation and debate, cause wonder, confusion, philosophizing and deep thinking. When you look at the BYC banner this year, you can see just how intricate, detailed, and unique Jakes designs are. He’s successfully designed graphics for snowboards, logos for Stowe, Smugglers Notch and of course BYC, to name a few. One may stop and wonder; where does Jake get all of this inspiration from to make these beautiful designs?  Jake often gains a lot of inspiration from nature, the urban landscape, and dreams.  Nature inspires him to create and design based on natural flowing curves, sharp contrasts, and intriguing textures found in nature.  Dreams allow Jake to envision images of interesting designs that provoke his viewers of his work to think deeply.  Overall, Jakes designs can be described as eye-catching, informative and fascinating.
