Lakshmi Tinker is presenting “Awaken Into Presence,” at the 2014 Burlington Yoga Conference.
In this workshop, explore breath-based movement from within the subtle body, the energetic core or center space; through instruction in rooting, core integration and energetic expansion each of Lakshmi's students are able to explore their own union with gravities pull and the strength of their own bodies. Meditative and investigative stillness, along with slow, steady, rhythmic vinyasa awaken us to breath, body, the inherent web of love, and our own essential emptiness. Lakshmi started practicing hatha yoga in 2003. In the summer of 2010 she moved to the Sivananda Ashram in Grass Valley, CA. Over the next 10 months she taught traditional hatha yoga, serving her Guru, Swami Sitaramananda. Lakshmi moved to Vermont in the spring of 2012 and started specializing in the therapeutic yoga realm. Lakshmi now works with teens and adults that struggle with eating disorders, addiction, and anxiety. In each of her classes she accentuates breath-based movement from within the body, the energetic core or center space.
