WHAT: BYC’s mission it to unite yoga students, teachers and studios as well as to empower and support individuals along the yogic path.  BYC cultivates community by bringing together an assortment of dedicated local yoga teachers and inspirational yogis from around the country and world. BYC believes in making yoga accessible to everyone. BYC’s motto is empower change from within.

For years  Burlington, Vermont, a beautiful lakefront city, has been a destination for health, natural living, organic food, and yoga.  BYC annually gathers top-notch yoga instructors, students of all levels and backgrounds, and healing arts practitioners- all under one roof – to empower positive change and create community.

WHO: EMP (Eclectic Music Productions), owned and operated by Ben Lanza and Jane Jarecki Lanza, produces Burlington Yoga Conference and Liberate Music & Yoga Festival.  These events are supported by production management from Sage Plakosh. EMP continues to grow alongside the popularity of music and yoga.

The mission of EMP is to celebrate the power of music and yoga to to repeatedly create new freedom and liberation where the was none before. EMP events (like BYC), encourage expression and support the innate human drive to test the edge, transform, to creatively express and grow.

Americans spend $2.95 billion a year on yoga classes and products, including equipment, clothing, vacations and media (DVDs, videos, books and magazines).* 7.5% of U.S. adults, or 16.5 million people, practice yoga. In addition, almost one in seven non-practitioners, or about 25 million people, say they intend to try yoga within the next 12 months.*
