Throughout the past 3 years of BYC history, evolution yoga has taken an active role in supporting the conference. evolution’s support, in part, enables BYC to fufull it’s mission- uniting local yoga studios and students, of various schools and traditions in the spirit of oneness. BYC thanks evolution deeply; without our local yoga studios getting involved, the conference could not fully fulfill its dharma.

Yoga is connection with a focus on compassion and service. evolution yoga created an awesome yoga-event, Vinyasa for Vermont on Dec. 11, to serve our neighbors, still suffering from flood damage and unite people in support. They selected two non-profit funds as the recipients of the money raised: The Intervale Farmer Recovery Fund to help with local disaster relief and The Vermont Disaster Relief Fund for statewide long-term relief efforts. 100% of profits will go to these two funds.

Sunday, December 11th from 9-11 am at the UVM Davis Center- a special yoga class will be taught by eight of the area’s leading yoga teachers : Heidi Bock, Susan Cline Lucey, Sofi Dillof, Emily Garrett, Lydia Hill, John McConnell, Martha Whitney and Jim Woodard featuring live music by Patrick McAndrew and Heidi Champney – Guitar, Violin and Sonic Landscapes.

A new and used yoga Clothing Sale will follow the class from 11-12:30. Sample Lake Champlain Chocolates, get a chair massage, you can enter the raffle and shop.

There are two ways to attend Vinyasa for Vermont: 1. Buy a ticket : to the event online for $30 or 2. Join our fundraising team raise a minimum of $30. This is a tax deductible donation.

Vinyasa for Vermont has some great prizes to give away including: Registration in an Honest Yoga Teacher Training $2500 value | 10 bodywork sessions from Stephen O’Dwyer at Neuromuscular Therapy of Vermont. Value $1000 | Wanderlust Festival at Stratton Mountain 2012 Sage Pass 4-day yoga + music ticket – $475 value | Lululemon Gift Certificate $300 value | (and our personal favorite) Tickets to the Winter and Spring Burlington Yoga Conference events $205 value :)

We hope to see you there in support of Vermonters in need!
