Eclectic Music Productions, co-founders and co-producers, Ben Lanza and Jane Jarecki Lanza, produce large scale music and yoga events and community gatherings.
EMP’s success and vision is largely supported by the work and dedication of Sage Plakosh, who has been stage manager, production manager, and much more to EMP since the first Liberate and BYC.
The mission of EMP is to celebrate the power of music and yoga to to consistently create new freedom and liberation where the was none before. EMP events encourage expression and support the human desire to push against boundaries, transform, to creatively express and grow.
EMP’s flagship festival, Liberate, was first launched in Vermont in 2008 and has steadily grown in size and scope to become a summer tradition for Vermont residents and fans from coast to coast. EMP remains committed to world-class events at affordable prices and to its grass roots beginnings.

Burlington Yoga Conference, first produced by EMP in 2009, has grown from a one-day event into a weekend long destination-event, from Friday evening to Sunday evening. With the feedback and support of our guests and students and continued interest from our teachers, BYC has grown to the largest annual yoga conference in New England. We gather a community of teachers, students, speakers, vendors, guests, and living advocates of yoga and its many offerings.
BYC’s mission it to unite local yoga studios, teachers, and students to create community and to give back to the communities that we’re a part of. Top-notch instructors offer a variety of traditions of yoga that appeal to all levels of students. BYC intends to inspire personal practice, a sense of connection, and positive change through yoga.
